The MARKETING RX: Clarity Over Control in Healthcare Marketing
January 14, 2026

This week I’ve been thinking about the news that Apple is reportedly working with Google to power parts of Siri using Gemini.
Two longtime competitors. One very practical decision.
The real takeaway from Apple x Google
THE BIG DOSE
This news is a great reminder for health brands. Even the biggest, most trusted brands in the world don’t try to do everything themselves or build everything in house.
I see health brands run into this all the time. Teams try to build every system in-house, write every piece of content internally, or manually manage marketing because it feels safer. But safe doesn’t always mean effective.
The smarter question is not “Can we do this ourselves?” It’s “Who already does this well and helps us stay aligned with our mission?”
Apple didn’t lose credibility by partnering. They protected it. Health brands can take the same approach. Patient trust comes from clarity, not control. The best brands know when to let the right tools and partners do their thing.
